Nugroho, Amir Pasaribu, & Ananda Sukarlan "Pianississimo 2" is a sequel of Pianississimo two years ago. This is all about piano & pianists and specially dedicated to all the piano (and pianists) lovers of Indonesia. The main feature this year is the world premiere of Ananda Sukarlan's "Vivaldi's Winter of Discontent", a piece for 4 pianos dealing with global warming and climate change. It is based on Vivaldi's "Winter" from the Four Seasons, but spectacularly twisted and modified into a 21st century harmonic language and texture, also influenced by Michael Jackson's dance rhythms and polyphony from his celebrated album "Thriller". Also performed is Ananda Sukarlan's astonishing work for 6 pianists on 3 pianos, "Schumann's Psychosis". It was performed 2 years ago bringing great excitement to public.
