Masterclasses are open & free to the Music Faculty students. The final concert next Saturday include the world premiere of 2 Etudes for piano performed by Dr. Kazuha Nakahara (visiting professor for UPH from Japan) and the Indonesian premiere of 2 numbers (1 for harp solo, and the other for flute & harp) from "Vega & Altair" which had received huge acclaim in its World Premiere last month at Esplanade, Singapore. 3. And it's almost New Year again! For 2011, Jakarta New Year Concert will be held at the Auditorium of Museum Nasional (Jl. Medan Merdeka, walking distance from the National Monument or the Presidential Palace). It will take place on Sunday, 9th of January 2011 at 4 p.m . This time the program is "Pianississimo 2", a kind of "sequel" of the JNYC 2 years ago, "Pianississimo", but more spectacular! There will be 4 pianos on stage, and winners and finalists of Ananda Sukarlan Award 2010 will all be there, to perform Ananda's fascinating new work "Vivaldi's Winter of Discontent", a kind of "remix" from Vivaldi's music from The Four Seasons to update it to this era of global warming and climate changes. All kinds of piano music, from music for 4 hands on 1 piano to music for 6 pianists will be performed. We also have invited Indonesia's legendary duo pianists, Latifah Kodijat and Charlotte Panggabean to perform 4-hand piano works.

Museum Nasional has undergone a "facelift" to rise to the occasion. There will be exhibitions too starting on the 1st of January. More details coming up thru facebook or Ananda Sukarlan's twitter account (@anandasukarlan) or our website www.musik-sastra.com

Tickets are Rp. 500.000 (VVIP, limited to only 60 seats), Rp. 200.000 (VIP), Rp. 100.000 (regular), if bought by transfer through Chendra at ycep@yahoo.com or 0818 891038. Tickets bought on the venue on D-day (if still available) will be 25-50% more expensive, according to the classes.
